Biography

Mr. Philip Nettl is an associate at Benedict and Altman. He is a two-time graduate of Rutgers, having received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University, and his law degree from Rutgers Law School-Camden. He joined the firm directly from law school in 2004, and has built up his experience in criminal cases ever since. Mr. Nettl’s first trial experience came as second chair in a capital murder trial, where he assisted Mr. Benedict. Since then, he has conducted solo jury trials in both state and federal courts. Mr. Nettl also has substantial experience with the appeals process, as he coordinates most of the appeals handled by the firm.

Mr. Nettl is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the New Brunswick Bar Association. He is also licensed in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Nettl has been named multiple times in New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine as a "Rising Star" in the field of Criminal Defense.
