Biography

Phillip B. Grubaugh has been a distinguished member of the legal profession since 1975, licensed in Missouri. A graduate with distinction from the University of Missouri and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, Phil excelled in his studies at the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law. Awarded the Order of the Coif, he graduated among the top ten in his class. Phil began his career at Watson Ess Marshall & Engass, gaining foundational experience in general litigation. He later joined Deacy & Deacy, LLP, where he became a partner and built a successful practice in personal injury defense, commercial litigation, and appellate cases over three decades. In 2012, Phil transitioned to Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys (KCAIA) as an Of Counsel attorney, bringing invaluable insight from his defense background. At KCAIA, Phil is dedicated to securing just compensation for the seriously injured in the Kansas City metro area, providing personalized attention to each case. Recognized as an AV Preeminent attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and a Top Car Accident Attorney by Avvo, Phil holds memberships with The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and The National Academy of Personal Injury Lawyers.
