Biography

Mr. Balsam joined the firm in 2022 as a litigation attorney. He defends long-term care (LTC) facilities in cases involving complex medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Balsam also represents LTC facilities in matters involving breaches of contracts, petitions for injunctive relief, and administrative appeals. In addition, Mr. Balsam defends premises liability matters for clients throughout Maryland.

In 2021, Mr. Balsam graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law and earned a J.D. with a concentration in Health Law. During law school, Mr. Balsam was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Business and Technology Law and Student Attorney for the Pretrial Release and Parole Advocacy Clinic. Mr. Balsam was previously a judicial intern to the Honorable Robert N. McDonald at the Supreme Court of Maryland and was a legal intern at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Center for Health and Homeland Security.
