Biography

Porsche Shantz graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law more than thirty years ago and has since built a distinguished appellate practice across multiple jurisdictions. She served as the first Clerk’s Office Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of Florida, where she helped revise internal jurisdictional training materials, and went on to represent the Florida First and Fourth District Courts of Appeal as well as the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Over her career, she has drafted and filed numerous appellate briefs, conducted complex legal research in civil and criminal matters, and prepared recommendations on procedural and substantive issues ranging from family law and probate to insurance coverage disputes and mortgage foreclosures. An active participant on internal court workgroups and rules commissions, Porsche is a detail-oriented, decisive advocate committed to timely, law-abiding delivery of appellate services.
