R. Neal Hoffman

Attorney Hoffman is the managing partner at Hoffman, Comfort, Offutt, Scott & Halstad, LLP. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Maryland College (now known as McDaniel College), he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In addition to his managerial duties, Mr. Hoffman focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, estate planning and estate administration.

A member of the Maryland State and American Bar Associations, he is also a member and past president (1984—85) of the Carroll County Bar Association. Since 2001, he has been chairman of the Carroll County Advisory Board of Directors of Branch Banking and Trust Company. Attorney Hoffman also serves or has served the community in numerous ways, including:

- Carroll Lutheran Village — Trustee (1997—2003, and 2006—present)

- Davis Library, Inc. — Trustee (1994—present), President (2003—present)

- Carroll Hospital Center Foundation — Trustee (1998—2008), Secretary (2001—2007)

- Carroll County Leadership Team for McDaniel College Carpe Diem Campaign (2008—2009)

- Grace Lutheran Church — Member, Stewardship Committee (2008—present)
