Biography

Rachel handles matrimonial and family law matters – everything from prenuptial agreements to marriage dissolutions (divorce) to post judgment enforcement and modification proceedings. Rachel understands that each client’s needs are unique, and she prides herself in her ability to adapt her representation of clients based on their specific situation and goals. Rachel is able to work cooperatively with clients and other counsel to achieve efficient and positive results, while also being ready to take an aggressive litigation approach when necessary.

Dividing her time between the firm’s Bridgeport and Westport offices, Rachel represents clients throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties, often appearing in the Stamford, Bridgeport, Danbury, Milford, and New Haven courthouses. She also volunteers her time by serving as a Special Master, appointed by the Superior Court, to mediate divorce disputes in the judicial districts of Bridgeport, Danbury, Stamford and Milford.

In 2011, Rachel was appointed by then-Governor Malloy to serve as a member on the Commission for Child Support Guidelines. By 2014, she was voted in as a Co-Chair of that committee, which concluded its work in 2015 when the current version of the Connecticut Child Support Guidelines was adopted by the state legislature.

Rachel has been an attorney at Cohen and Wolf, P.C. since graduating from law school in 2004 and has been a principal of the firm since 2012. Rachel served as the firm’s Chair of Recruitment Committee for 6 years and currently serves as the firm’s Chair of Planning and Practice Management Committee.
