Biography

Rachel attended law school with a Dean’s Scholarship to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Rachel served on Law Review, served as a research assistant, interned at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and received CALI Excellence awards in Advanced Legal Theory and Analysis I & II; Criminal Sentencing; Local Government Law; and Juvenile Appellate Clinic. Rachel is a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Political Science from Kalamazoo College where she graduated magna cum laude. Rachel ran collegiate cross country and worked at the Arcus Foundation Center as a student fellow. Rachel spent her junior year studying at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso in Chile. She is fluent in Spanish.Rachel is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. She is a member of many local bar associations and maintains an especially active role in the Detroit Bar Association’s Barristers Section.
