Rafael L. Rovira-Arbona is a member of Fernández Cuyar Rovira & Plá LLC. Mr. Rovira’s practice is concentrated in two areas – corporate and estate planning. In his corporate practice, Mr. Rovira advises and counsels businesses in the areas of financing, mergers & acquisitions, spin-offs, corporate governance and general corporate matters. With regard to his estate planning practice, Mr. Rovira advises and counsels high net worth individuals on issues of wealth preservation and estate planning, with a focus on reducing the client’s potential estate tax exposure and the protection of assets through mechanisms such as the constitution of trusts. The practice also encompasses the preparation of last wills and testaments, health care directives and durable powers of attorney. Mr. Rovira further advises businesses and individuals seeking tax decrees from the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce.
