Biography

Raluca S. Neagu focuses her practice in the first-party property insurance defense litigation, including but not limited to insurance coverage disputes, pre- and post- appraisal matters, and declaratory coverage actions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Neagu served as an insurance defense attorney at a local law firm, as well as an in-house counsel for one Florida insurance company. While there, she independently and aggressively defended a full caseload of first-party property insurance liability and coverage disputes throughout the state of Florida, where many of the claims involved windstorms, mold, theft, arson, and water losses.

Ms. Neagu graduated in 2008 with a dual American and Canadian law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. While in law school, Ms. Neagu worked as a summer associate for a law firm in Brussels, Belgium, where she conducted legal research and prepared notes on different European Union issues. Additionally, Ms. Neagu graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University, where she received her B.A. in International Relations. Ms. Neagu is fluent in Romanian.
