Biography

Randy J. Harvey is a lead attorney at Employment Law Professionals Northwest. The firm's primary office is in Sherwood, Oregon, but provides legal services in California as well as Oregon, working out of a Sacramento, remote office. Dr. Randy Harvey holds a PhD from the University of Oregon in addition to his Juris Doctorate from Concord Purdue University as well as a MS Ed from Eastern Oregon University and a soon to be completed MA from Western Seminary in Bible and Theology. Randy devotes his practice to employment law, defending law enforcement, and advising churches and non-profits. He litigates on behalf of clients who have experienced whistleblower retaliation, discrimination, and civil rights violations. Randy advises churches and non-profits on policy and employment matters, and professionals on administrative licensing matters. The firm also handles unemployment appeal matters.

Dr. Harvey graduated from Concord Purdue law School and has been licensed to practice in California since 2008 and in Oregon since 2011. He has litigated cases in Oregon and California federal and state courts on diverse matters including contract disputes, employment retaliation, discrimination, ADA issues and defamation. He has represented professionals before California and Oregon administrative agencies pertaining to their professional licenses.

Whether a client needs to litigate in Federal Courts, State Courts or in front of administrative law judges in state agency matters, Dr. Harvey is comfortable litigating in all of these environments. He has also resolved many client cases to their satisfaction using the mediation or arbitration processes.

Dr. Harvey is involved in his community having served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce in Sherwood, leadership positions in Rotary. He is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Multnomah County Bar Association, the Oregon and California State Bars, the Oregon Trial Lawyers' Association, and the Christian Legal Society. He and his wife teach a home bible study and he occasionally teaches Biblical Greek for laypersons.
