Ranjan focuses his practice on the defense of personal injury, toxic exposure, and premises liability claims, construction defect and payment claims, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, and general business litigation. He also handles cybersecurity and data privacy matters as a member of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team, including data breach and pixel class actions, and claims arising from CIPA, CPRA, and other state and federal privacy statutes.
Ranjan provides service to a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to locally owned and operated businesses and strives to help protect his clients against adverse exposure and to investigate and resolve claims in the most effective manner possible. He has handled complex multi-party litigation throughout California and served as national monitoring counsel for toxic tort claims on behalf of several national insurance companies. He also counsels clients on general business matters and risk management, including contract and employment matters, and provides counsel on trademark registration and enforcement. Ranjan has appeared in state and federal court, has submitted briefings and oral arguments before the California Court of Appeals, and has achieved multiple favorable results for his clients, both pre-trial and at trial.
He is a Rotarian and a member of the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club. Ranjan is also the Membership Chair for Rotary District 5340, which covers San Diego and Imperial counties, and is responsible for promoting and supporting membership growth for the District’s 60+ clubs
