Raul V. Rodriguez: Attorney with GWC Injury Lawyers LLC

Biography

Raul Rodriguez is a bilingual Spanish Speaking Attorney with a decade of experience practicing Workers’ Compensation. He has represented injured workers most of his career and secured nearly 10 Million Dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients. Raul has handled a diverse array of injuries including rotator cuff and labral tears, herniated discs, bicep tears, ACL tears, MCL Tears, Meniscus Tears, fractures and carpal tunnel among other injuries. In addition, Raul has successfully litigated loss of trade cases throughout his career. Raul understands the difficulties a work injury can create for an injured worker’s home life. Therefore, Raul takes an aggressive approach to ensure benefits and medical bills are paid timely. He also fights to maximize the final amount an injured worker will receive at the end of a case.

As the son of Latin American immigrants, he has built a special bond with Chicago’s Latino Community. Raul was one of a handful of Attorneys chosen by the Mexico’s Department of the Exterior to be Consultant Attorney “Abogado Consultor” for the Mexican Consulate of Chicago. In this role, Raul helped the Consulate develop labor initiates in the Chicagoland area and frequently educated Latino workers on their rights under the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Act.

Along with Workers Compensation, Raul has practiced corporate transaction law and commercial litigation. As such, Raul has had inside look into the way companies operate. This inside look provides him a strategic advantage when representing injured workers.

Raul was featured in Hispanic Executive Magazine’s Latinos in the Law issues in 2012 and 2014. He was also selected as one of Super Lawyer’s Magazine’s Rising Star Lawyers from 2013 to 2016 and Leading Lawyer’s Magazine’s Emerging Lawyer List In 2015. Rising Star Lawyers and Emerging Lawyers are made up of the top two percent of lawyers who are 40 years old or younger OR practicing law 10 years or less and have proven themselves professional, ethical and experienced at an early point in their legal career.

Raul received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law. He is a Board Member of Distinctively College Bound, NFP, a Chicago based non-profit that raises scholarships to fund afterschool activities for underprivileged children.

He is contributing writer for “The Champaign Room”, the Illinois Fighting Illini’s Vox Media and SB Nation site.
