Rea Kalsi

Rea first joined WT in 2018 as a summer student, and returned for her articles in 2019. She primarily practices in plaintiff and defence personal injury litigation and general insurance litigation, with a developing focus on bodily injury claims before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Rea is known for her committed work ethic and level of detail in advocating for her clients. She is focused on her clients’ needs and is creative and efficient in determining the best outcome for her clients.

Prior to embarking her legal career, Rea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from Simon Fraser University. In 2019, Rea obtained her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. While in her last year of law school, Rea worked directly with various Provincial Court Judges as a Judicial Intern where she conducted legal research and analysis. She further developed her passion for litigation upon her completion of Trial Advocacy, a course wherein she developed techniques of advocacy including interviewing, pre-trial preparation, tactical analysis, factual development, direct and cross examination, and various ethical considerations. Rea’s familiarity with our court system is largely attributable to her prior experience, as Rea also worked at the Provincial Court of British Columbia throughout law school and prior to law school, and volunteered at Vancouver’s Downtown Community Court.
