Biography

Rebecca Zemmelman is an experienced attorney and Partner at The Family Law and Fertility Law Group where she focuses on family law, adoption law, and mediation. Throughout her years of practice, Rebecca has helped countless families navigate complex legal issues and find peaceful resolutions to difficult situations. Rebecca’s clients appreciate her compassionate and empathetic approach, as well as her extensive knowledge of the law. She has successfully represented clients in a wide range of cases, from high-conflict divorces to complex interstate adoptions. Whenever possible, Rebecca works to reduce conflict in family law cases through the use of alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and collaborative divorce. In addition, Rebecca is a dedicated Guardian Ad Litem representing the best interests of children who are involved in legal proceedings. She investigates their circumstances and makes recommendations to the Court based on what is in the child’s best interests. Rebecca has received numerous awards and accolades for her work including recognition as a “Rising Star” in Family Law by Super Lawyers every year from 2019-2023, and as a “Leading Lawyer” in Family Law by Cincy Magazine in 2023. In addition, she has received the Center for Race, Gender and Social Justice’s “Community Service Award” through the University of Cincinnati College of Law, as well as the “Service and Leadership Award” from Miami University. Through her involvement in various organizations throughout the Cincinnati area, Rebecca has demonstrated her commitment to making a positive impact on her community and the legal profession as a whole. She sits on the executive board of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is the co-chair of the Women in Law Alumni Group at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Rebecca is a board member of the Juvenile Law Committee through the Cincinnati Bar Association, serves on the executive committee of the Jewish Community Relations Council in Cincinnati and sits on the board of the Cincinnati chapter of the Miami University Alumni Association. Rebecca’s dedication to leadership has also earned her recognition as a member of the 2023 class of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL). She has previously been involved in the Young Lawyers Section of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Cincinnati Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society and served as a Fellow at the Ohio Innocence Project. Rebecca also worked as a Law Clerk at both the Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations and the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. Rebecca practices in Hamilton, Warren, Clermont and Butler Counties, and is committed to providing high-quality legal services to her clients in these areas. Her extensive legal knowledge and experience, combined with her commitment to her clients and her community, make her a valuable resource for anyone seeking legal assistance in family law, adoption law and mediation. Rebecca sits on the Diversity Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Cincinnati Bar Association and is a board member on the Juvenile Law Committee. She also sits on the executive board of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the borard Jewish Community Relations Council and is one of the founding members of the Cincinnati Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society.
