Biography

Rebecca Neale has years of experience advocating for clients in the courtroom and the conference room. She enjoys helping people navigate some of the most difficult chapters of their lives.

Attorney Neale represents people in divorce and custody proceedings in Middlesex, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Plymouth, and Worcester counties. She has experience with financial forensics, child support, alimony, trusts and inheritances, visitation and parenting plans, Guardian ad Litems, real estate appraisals, restraining orders, domestic violence, and financial abuse.

Rebecca also drafts estate plans tailored to her clients’ diverse needs. She has experience with revocable trusts to reduce or eliminate Massachusetts estate taxes and provide for minors, guardianship nominations, irrevocable life insurance trusts (commonly referred to as “ILITs”), Qualified Terminable Interest Trusts (aka “QTIP” trusts), power of attorney, healthcare proxy, FERPA waivers, and end of life considerations.

Prior to opening her firm, Attorney Neale was a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of Northeastern New York, where she represented and advised over 300 clients in housing proceedings, Social Security appeals, and more. She represented homeowners in nationwide class action lawsuits against banks, represented small businesses in contract disputes, and clerked for the New York Court of Appeals.

Rebecca Neale is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and New York, and admitted to the Massachusetts District Court and New York’s Third Department.

Rebecca earned a B.A. from the University of Rochester, and a Juris Doctor from UC Law San Francisco (formerly known as the University of California, Hastings College of the Law). At UC Law SF, Rebecca was Co-Editor In Chief of the UC Law SF Journal on Gender and Justice (known at the time as the Hastings Women’s Law Journal).

Before she became a lawyer, Rebecca was a community health educator in Turkmenistan, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and in Marin County, California.
