Reid DeChant’s path to the courtroom started early. At just 16, he successfully took his own speeding ticket to trial, and he’s been dismantling prosecution cases ever since. After refining his skills on the National Trial Team at the University of Denver, Reid spent years in the Colorado Public Defender’s Office. That experience taught him that the legal system often tries to define people by their worst moments. Reid’s goal is to change that narrative. As a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, he uses powerful storytelling to humanize his clients and ensure the jury sees the person, not just the charges. When it comes to DUI defense, Reid is a true specialist. He is an ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist and is Board Certified in DUI Defense, meaning he understands the chemistry of blood and breath testing better than most of the officers who administer them. He’s even taken the same field sobriety training as the police to better expose their mistakes. Recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 trial lawyer, Reid doesn’t just settle for the easy path; he prepares every case to win at trial.
