Biography

After growing up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Mr. Schonfeld graduated from University of Western Ontario in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Schonfeld then attended California Western School of Law, receiving his Doctor of Laws in 1998. Upon graduation, Mr. Schonfeld served as a law clerk at the Law Offices of Goodman & Chesnoff, until he passed the Nevada Bar Exam in October of 1998 at which time he became an associate of the law firm. After Mr. Goodman was elected Mayor of Las Vegas he remained part of the firm until 2005. Whereupon the firm changed its name to Chesnoff & Schonfeld, and Mr. Schonfeld became a named partner. Mr. Schonfeld concentrates his primary legal efforts on criminal adjudication, complex business/civil litigation, and complex family law litigation. Mr. Schonfeld is outside corporate litigation counsel to numerous Las Vegas business entities such as entertainment companies, industrial businesses, and restaurant management companies. Mr. Schonfeld’s extensive trial experience has earned him recognition as a top 100 trial lawyer. Unlike typical lawyers, Mr. Schonfeld refuses to delegate legal tasks to an internal staff and prides himself on providing his clients with personal legal guidance.
