Richard David Crabb, Esq.

As a founding partner of Hill Crabb Law Firm, Richard D. Crabb has built his practice around helping people navigate the toughest family law disputes. Richard grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota, and took an unconventional path to law—earning a Biology degree from Cornell University before graduating from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. Early in his career, he clerked for the First Judicial District in Dakota County, where he gained a behind-the-scenes understanding of family court and the lasting impact legal advocacy can have. Today, Richard is widely respected for his trial skills and his ability to handle cases that are both emotionally charged and legally complicated. Clients appreciate his calm, steady guidance, and they also value his firm, no-nonsense approach when litigation is necessary. Richard represents clients in high-conflict custody disputes, complex asset and property division matters, family law appeals, and CHIPS cases. He is meticulous in preparation and clear in communication, helping clients understand the issues and the path forward. Outside of work, Richard spends time with his family, enjoys the outdoors, and stays involved through pro bono service and legal education initiatives.
