Biography

Rick Bender is a partner in the firm's litigation department, having joined the firm in 1975 and having been with the firm ever since. He practices in all areas of civil litigation, focusing primarily on construction law, domestic matters, contract disputes, and eminent domain. In addition, over his thirty plus years of trial experience, he has handled almost all types of civil litigation, including many landlord tenant matters, personal injury cases, labor law matters, workers' compensation cases, will contests, probate disputes and wrongful death cases.

Rick practices in both the state and appellate courts of Missouri and Illinois, representing all types of clients, and representing Plaintiffs as well as Defendants. Richard has tried cases in various different states at both the Federal and state levels.

Mr. Bender is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the St. Louis County Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
