Biography

R. Scott McCullough is an experienced litigator who practices in the areas of civil litigation in both state and federal courts. Prior to entering private practice, Scott was an Assistant District Attorney in Shelby County, Tennessee, where he gained substantial jury selection and jury trial experience in trials ranging from 1st degree murder, rape, aggravated assaults, etc.

Since entering private practice, Scott has successfully handled a wide variety of civil litigation at both the state and federal level. He has achieved successful resolutions of litigation for his clients, including multiple summary judgments, in many areas of civil practice, including in the fields of products liability, premises liability, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, worker’s compensation, wrongful death, trucking defense, construction defense and automobile accidents. Scott is admitted in both the state and federal courts of Tennessee. In addition, Scott is a frequent lecturer to the insurance industry on a wide variety of topics ranging from the effective use of social media in claims handling to ethical and good-faith claims handling.
