Biography

Rikki Blake Brookes is an Associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale West office where she practices insurance defense claims.

Ms. Blake Brookes earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, summa cum laude, at the Florida International University with minors in business communication, psychology, and general marketing. She also earned a certificate in pre-law. After acquiring her undergraduate degree, she then earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

During her time in law school, Ms. Blake Brookes served as a research assistant before joining Cole, Scott & Kissane as a Law Clerk. She also previously interned at Turnberry Associates and volunteered pro bono with Broward Legal Aid, Three Rivers Legal Services, and Community Legal Services’ mobile helpline. Ms. Blake Brookes was also an editor of the Florida Entertainment and Sports Law Review, while serving on the executive board for the Black Law Students Association, Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and the Caribbean Law students Association.
