Biography

Bob Battle is a distinguished founding partner at Battle & Winn LLP, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous tenure as a partner at a large Birmingham-based law firm. His career began as a law clerk for the Honorable Ira DeMent, U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Alabama. Bob has built a formidable practice centered on business and commercial litigation, focusing on insurance coverage and False Claims Act cases. His legal acumen extends to personal injury and wrongful death suits, where he has successfully led complex trials to favorable verdicts. A seasoned appellate lawyer, Bob has also secured key rulings that uphold his trial victories. He carries the prestigious AV-rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2005 and has been a fixture on the Alabama “Super Lawyers” list since 2010. Bob's legal ingenuity has been recognized nationally, including being named Lawyer of the Year in Birmingham for Insurance Litigation in 2019.
