Robert Hight: Attorney with Beal Law Firm, PLLC

Biography

"Throughout my legal career my goal has been to use the law to solve problems for my clients. Working in family law uniquely positions me to be able to help normal people at one of the most trying times in their life.

Whether a client’s goal is to get their just share of a marital estate, preserve their relationship with their child, or to simply navigate the storm of divorce in a way that lets them start the next chapter of their life on a sound footing, I firmly believe that the Beal Law Firm gives me the tools and the time to do my best for my clients.”

Robert joined the Beal Law Firm in November of 2021. Prior to this, Robert worked in family law for over seven years, most recently as a Special Litigator for the Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division. Working both as a private attorney and for the state he has first chaired contested temporary orders hearings, mediations, and final trials.

Robert grew up in the Park Cities and he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Classics and History from Baylor University. During his time at Baylor he cofounded a chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity which would grow to over a hundred members by his graduation.

After a gap year teaching SAT prep, Robert attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law where he graduated with honors. As well as being active in Moot Court, Robert worked as a clerk and summer associate in several fields of law, ultimately deciding that he could best help people by zeroing in on a career in family law.

Since graduating Robert has worked as an attorney in both private and government practice, spending the last seven years mainly working on family law matters. He was named an Assistant Attorney General of the Year for 2021.

Outside of the office, Robert is devoted to chess, his family, and sports. When not spending time with his wife Jessica or daughter Sophie, Robert can be found playing chess (badly), playing soccer (badly), and attending church (he is fine at this).
