Biography

For over 20 years, Rob Mandell has been practicing criminal defense in federal and state courts. Over this time, he has earned the reputation of being one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the central Florida area. A member of the National Trial Association “Top 100 Trial Attorneys” as well as “Top 40 Under 40,” Mr. Mandell takes an aggressive proactive approach in every case he handles. “Whether a first-degree murder or first-time D.U.I.,” Rob treats every case the same exact way … the only way he knows: attack the government’s case. Rob is a true believer in the best defense is a good offense.

At Mandell Law, Rob has assembled a team of attorneys and paralegals that are capable to take on the government and fight for the rights of their client every step of the way. Rob utilizes a team approach in all cases and employs private investigators and forensic experts on a regular basis when fighting cases.

For over two decades, Rob Mandell has devoted his practice solely to representing individuals charged criminally in federal and state courts. He was born and raised in New York City, where he attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Born with the fire to fight for those who could not for themselves, Rob always wanted to practice criminal defense and knew John Jay was the perfect fit for him. While at John Jay, he excelled in and out of the classroom graduating cum laude while playing a vital role in student government.

After graduating from John Jay, Rob attended the University of Miami School of Law. During his time in Miami, Rob had the unique opportunity of working with and studying under some of the best legal minds in the National Criminal Defense Community. Rob clerked at Bierman, Shohat, Loewy and Klein, P.A., and studied under Roy Black. This was where Rob was able to work on immensely complicated cases both nationally and internationally and truly gained the skills that he believes sets him apart from the central Florida legal community.

After Rob’s time in Miami, he decided to put his passion to work as an assistant public defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. Rob’s work ethic and ability propelled his advancement and eventually landed him handling very serious criminal matters.

After excelling at the Office of the Public Defender, Rob took his passion and approach to the private sector. Since 2007, Rob has been a private criminal defense attorney and now spends every day earning and maintaining his reputation as one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the central Florida area. For more than a decade, Rob and his team have become the “go to” criminal defense firm for professionals from all walks of life when they are being charged criminally or are under investigation. Rob and his team have handled cases for professional athletes, entertainers, medical doctors and attorneys alike, treating all cases and clients with the highest standards of care. Rob is a true believer in the “Golden Rule” and treats every client the way he and his family would want to be treated.
