Biography

Robert L. Surprenant, Esq., of Counsel is the founder of Surprenant & Beneski, P.C. (formerly The Medicaid & Estate Planning Strategies Law Firm, P.C.) in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

He is a graduate of Northeastern University (B.A. in Business Administration) and Boston College Law School (J.D.). Mr. Surprenant is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and is a frequent lecturer on elder law topics. He is co-author of The Southeastern Massachusetts Nursing Home Guide and produces Elder Law Today, a monthly publication on elder law issues. Mr. Surprenant is currently Of Counsel to the firm. He and his wife, Diane, live in New Bedford, Massachusetts and are the parents of six children and the grandparents of sixteen.
