Biography

Rob Baurley is a member of the Casualty Department. He focuses his practice primarily on representing insurance carriers in various stages of litigation related to personal injury and premises liability matters.

Rob graduated from Syracuse University College of Law and received his J.D. in 2021. While at Syracuse University, Rob was selected by the New York Court of Appeals and honored as a 2021 Pro Bono Scholar, where he was permitted to take the New York State Bar Examination early and during his last semester of law school provided free legal services while working at the Office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, PA. Rob earned a B.A. in History and minored in English at Loyola University Chicago. While at Loyola, Rob competed as a goalkeeper for the Loyola University Chicago Men's Club Lacrosse team in the Great Lakes Lacrosse League and wrote an undergraduate research thesis "Slavery in Yamasee Country", during an intercollegiate research fellowship at the Newberry Library.

Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Rob began his New York legal practice at the Queens County District Attorney's Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where he prosecuted criminal cases involving misdemeanor, felony, and violent felony offenses. During his three years as a prosecutor, Rob presented evidence-based direct examinations of prosecution witnesses in grand jury and pre-trial suppression hearings, as well as conducted cross-examinations of numerous defendants accused of violent felony offenses.

Rob is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
