Biography

Mr. Allen serves as CEO of the firm while working as lead lawyer for many of the firm’s clients. He has led the legal teams for transactions involving corporate acquisitions, national and global distribution, as well as real estate and superyacht purchases and sales. He regularly represents clients from around the world, with a special focus on the operations of manufacturers, their domestic and international distribution needs and the representation of distributors and brokerage houses. He is often deeply involved in his clients’ operational and strategic decisions. Bob is listed as a Top Lawyer in the South Florida Legal Guide; regularly speaks at seminars of the International Yacht Brokers Association and publishes articles in the IYBA Compass; is a Past Member of the 11th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission, the Boards of Trustees of New College of Florida and St. Thomas University, the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority (Chairman, Sports Committee), the Board of Directors of Ocean Conservancy (Executive Committee), the Miami International Symphony Orchestra (Vice Chairman), the Miami Bridge (Founding Chairman), and the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (Vice President, Interamerican Chapter). He has also spoken at Florida Bar Admiralty Law Section and International Law Section seminars, CLE seminars and U.S. Superyacht Association seminars on a variety of topics including product distribution, yachts, real estate and the cruise industry.

In July 2019, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Bob to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 4th District Court of Appeals.

Bob served as legal counsel to the Bush campaign during the Bush v. Gore litigation, was the Republican nominee for Congress in Florida’s 19th Congressional District, was Finance Chairman, Legal Counsel to, and a member of, the Executive Committee to the Miami-Dade County Republican Party.
