Biography

Robert Barton represents insurance companies in coverage disputes and complex bad faith matters in both state and federal courts. He assists clients in cases involving homeowners, automobile, and commercial general liability policies and payment disputes.

Robert also focuses his practice in the areas of professional liability. He represents companies and individuals in complex civil matters, as well as appeals, in both state and federal courts throughout the state of Florida. His practice includes cases that often involve numerous and complex issues including claims for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and statutory violations. He also defends professionals from a variety of industries including legal, healthcare, construction, and financial institutions against claims of malpractice. Robert also represents physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants and mental healthcare providers, as well as other business professionals including accountants, insurance agents, real estate agents, architects and engineers.

Robert’s practice also includes the area of product liability. He primarily represents manufacturers in the automotive and medical industries against claims involving serious and catastrophic injury and/or death.

Prior to attending law school, Robert served in Afghanistan as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, earning awards for his leadership and combat valor. Robert participated in the firm’s Summer Associate Program in 2017.
