Robert Samuel Kahn: Attorney with Collins + Collins LLP

Biography

A native of Chicago, Robert (Rob) has resided in California for more than 25 years. He obtained his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Rob brings with him more than ten-(10) years of experience as an attorney. Before joining his current position as Corporate Counsel and head of the Employment Law Department at MMC, Inc., Rob spent the past several years as an in-house and business transactional attorney, dedicating his time and energy to providing employment counseling and setting up HR processes for his corporate clients, defending his company clients in wrongful termination suits and drafting a variety of business agreements and various documents. In his role as a corporate transactional and in-house attorney, he partners with his clients to help ensure their legal requirements make good business sense. This ensures that the clients see the value proposition for the legal work undertaken. As an example, he has served as General Counsel to a privately held manufacturing company that generates approximately $80-$100 million in yearly revenue and employed approximately 350 individuals nationwide. Understanding this company and its operations allowed him to offer incisive legal advice that dovetailed with the goals of this client’s ventures.
