Ronald Wagner has been with the firm since 1975 and was the Managing Principal and Chairperson of Kitch from 1999 through 2014. Mr. Wagner concentrates his practice on medical malpractice defense litigation and product liability litigation. His experience includes serving as the national lead attorney for Owens Corning in nationwide asbestos litigation.

Mr. Wagner is licensed to practice law in Michigan, and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. From 1985 to 1998, he also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The Detroit College of Law what is now Michigan State University College of Law.

Mr. Wagner has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer.Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers. He is AV Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary. He was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as a “Best Lawyer” in the field of Product Liability Litigation: Defense and was named a Top Lawyer by dBusiness Magazine . He was also recognized as a Leading Lawyer in 2021 and 2022. This recognition is based on a survey of their peers.

Mr. Wagner received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. He holds Bachelor of Art and Master degrees in Mathematics from Western Michigan University. He also taught secondary mathematics in Kalamazoo and Grosse Pointe for nine years.
