Biography

Ron Motil concentrates his practice in representing individuals and families who have claims and causes of action for workers' compensation, personal injuries, and wrongful death. He has vast experience representing clients who were injured on the job, seriously injured in automobile and trucking accidents, and on the unsafe property of others. Many of those clients have been and are members of the industrial unions and construction building trades and have included steelworkers, laborers, insulator/asbestos workers, electricians, pipefitters, ironworkers, firefighters, and police officers.

Prior to attending college, Ron worked for a short time as a steelworker at Granite City Steel (now known as U.S. Steel). Because of his experience at the steel mill and as a family member of other steelworkers, Ron understands the worries, financial pressures, and need for compensation benefits that his clients experience when they are injured on the job.

Ron has tried cases in the Circuit Courts of Madison, St. Clair, Williamson, and Marion counties of Illinois and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Central Districts of Illinois. He has also won benefits for many injured workers in the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission at various dockets throughout the state of Illinois and in the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation throughout the state of Missouri.
