Biography

Ross Jurewitz didn’t become a lawyer just to practice law—he became a lawyer to take down bullies. As the founding attorney and CEO of the Jurewitz Law Group Injury & Accident Lawyers, Ross has spent over two decades standing up to powerful insurance companies on behalf of people who have been hurt and need a voice.

A Different Kind of Lawyer. Ross is often described as a “regular guy” who just happens to be a top-tier personal injury attorney. He founded the Jurewitz Law Group Injury & Accident Lawyers in 2007 with a clear mission: to provide the high-level results of a large firm while maintaining the personal, “family-first” touch of a small one.

He is known for speaking in plain English rather than confusing legalese. Whether he is advising a client in Carlsbad or litigating a case in Tampa, Ross makes sure his clients are never left in the dark. He treats every case with a “warrior” mentality, preparing every matter as if it were headed to trial to ensure his clients receive the maximum compensation possible.

National Reach and Local Roots. With offices in San Diego, Carlsbad, and Tampa, Ross oversees a team of dedicated professionals across California and Florida. His practice is focused on personal injury and mass torts, representing victims of car accidents, motorcycle crashes, and defective products.

Ross is licensed to practice law in four jurisdictions: California, Florida, Texas, and the District of Columbia. His reach is truly nationwide, and his firm has been recognized as a leader in personal injury law by major publications like Time and Newsweek.

Awards and Professional Excellence. Ross’s tenacity in the courtroom and commitment to his clients have earned him numerous prestigious awards, including Super Lawyers selection from 2016 through 2026, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys, and membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which recognizes his success in obtaining million-dollar judgments and settlements. Mores o, San Diego Business Journal: Recognized as “Best of the Bar” and a multiple-time finalist for “Most Admired CEO.”

Beyond the courtroom, Ross is a frequent legal expert on local and national television news programs and is a published author. He wrote The 10 Biggest Mistakes That Can Destroy Your California Accident Case to help people protect themselves before they ever step into a law office.

Education and Membership. Ross earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, before moving to the nation’s capital to earn his Juris Doctor from the prestigious Washington College of Law at American University.

He is an active member of the legal community, contributing to the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Life Outside the Law. When he isn’t fighting for his clients, Ross is likely spending time with his wife, Lee, and their daughter, Ryan. A dedicated family man and dog lover, he splits his time between coastal North County, California, and Pinellas County, Florida.

Ross is an avid golfer and can often be found on the course or in his indoor golf simulator. He is also a passionate Texas Longhorns fan, an expert at smoking brisket, and enjoys spending time on his Regal boat. Whether he’s navigating the legal system or the open water, Ross Jurewitz is always driven by a commitment to excellence and a desire to help others.
