Ross W. Townsend

Ross Townsend has more than 20 years of experience in representing both large and small employers in the full range of employment-related legal matters, including disputes arising under the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the National Labor Relations Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and others. He has represented employers in a wide variety of forums including
labor arbitrations, mediations and negotiations, and in proceedings before the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the U.S. Department of Labor, and numerous state and federal Courts in Wisconsin and across the United States.

Ross regularly provides his clients with proactive advice and training regarding ways to minimize or prevent legal risk while simultaneously achieving business objectives. He has extensive speaking experience regarding employment and labor matters, and he has conducted countless training sessions, taught graduate level classes for a private university, and spoken at numerous meetings and seminars.
