Russell J.A. Jones

Russell Jones is a trial lawyer who truly enjoys going to court and putting a case in front of a jury. Russell believes jury trials are the system working the way it should, and he has been lead counsel in hundreds of jury trials at both the state and federal level. Still, the goal is always the best result for the client. Sometimes that means taking a case to verdict, other times it means negotiating a settlement that protects your future without the risk of trial. Because he is known for being prepared and relentless, Russell has earned the respect of opposing counsel and the trust of judges, advantages that matter in both negotiations and the courtroom. He has won cases from first-degree intentional homicide to disorderly conduct, and has built his practice on defending constitutional rights and securing favorable outcomes in all phases of litigation. Russell is a four-time winner of the Martin Hanson Memorial Prize from the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Jones Law Firm was named best solo practice in Wisconsin by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2023, and he has also been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and The Shepard Express. He graduated with honors from Marquette University Law School in 2002, founded Jones Law Firm in 2008, and is licensed in Wisconsin, Wisconsin federal courts, and the 7th Circuit.
