Ryan Hobbs is an esteemed attorney at Perry & Young, joining our prestigious law firm in February 2023. With extensive expertise in employment law, he is a prominent figure in the legal community and a sought-after attorney in Tallahassee, Florida.
Formerly a partner at Brooks LeBoeuf from October 2014 to January 2023, Ryan focused on representing individuals and businesses in diverse business litigation matters, particularly in employment law. His comprehensive understanding of employment-related issues is showcased through his representation of cases in state and federal courts.
Before joining Perry & Young, Ryan gained valuable experience at prestigious Florida law firms. He represented businesses, individuals, and governmental entities as an associate at Bryant Miller Olive P.A. and managed the Tallahassee office while handling employment law cases at Becker & Poliakoff, P.A.
Recognized by the Florida Super Lawyers publication as a Rising Star in the category of Business Litigation since 2012, Mr. Hobbs represents individuals and entities in litigated matters throughout the State of Florida. In 2016 he was named in the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Advocates.
Mr. Hobbs has focused much of his practice in the area of labor and employment law and in this area represents both employees who have been discriminated against or wrongfully terminated, as well as employers who have been accused of discriminating against current or former employees. Mr. Hobbs has litigated hundreds of cases in both State and Federal Court involving all types of employment discrimination including race, gender/sexual harassment, disability, national origin, religion, retaliation, unpaid overtime, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition to employment law, Mr. Hobbs regularly practices in the area of personal injury, to include motor vehicle accidents and wrongful death cases.
Mr. Hobbs received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Florida State University in 2004, Summa Cum Laude, and earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2007. While in law school, Mr. Hobbs was a Dean’s Fellow, and clerked at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for Judge James A. Wynn, who is now a federal appellate court judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
