Biography

Ryan Louie joined Kobayashi Sugita & Goda in 2020. He focuses his law practice in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance litigation, and governmental relations.

Education

Mr. Louie earned his Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law in 2020, where he served as a Member and Technical Editor of the University of Hawai'i Law Review and earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Internet Law.

While in law school, Mr. Louie worked as a volunteer law clerk for the Honorable Sabrina S. McKenna at the Hawai'i Supreme Court and the Honorable Leslie E. Kobayashi at the United States District Court for the District of Hawai'i. Mr. Louie also participated in the Ete Bowlas a coach and helped to found Richardson’s Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition team, a competition centering on civil rights and hosted by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

Prior to law school, Mr. Louie graduated from Punahou School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Mr. Louie is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Hawaii.
