Ryan Nelson

Born and raised in Cincinnati, this veteran trial attorney brings nearly 30 years of courtroom experience—and knows exactly how to win. A graduate of Wittenberg University (B.A. in Psychology and Political Science) and University of Cincinnati (J.D.), he has spent 29 years on the front lines of the criminal justice system as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney.

He spent over a decade prosecuting felony cases and rose to Division Chief in the Municipal Court Division at the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office, where he supervised cases and sharpened the strategies he now uses against the state. With more than 150 jury trials under his belt—including aggravated murder, rape, arson, robbery, domestic violence, and aggravated vehicular homicide—he has handled the most serious charges imaginable. Add to that over a thousand OVI cases, and there are few scenarios he hasn’t seen—and beaten.

He has taken cases to trial across Ohio, including Hamilton, Warren, Clermont, Butler, and Montgomery counties, and resolved matters statewide. He also served as an in-service training instructor for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, giving him insider knowledge of law enforcement procedures he now uses to challenge arrests and build stronger defenses.
