Biography

Ryan was born in Des Moines Iowa on September 12, 1978. Ryan is the son of Attorney Donald Beattie and Kristi Beattie. Ryan grew up in Runnells, Iowa and graduated in 1997 from Southeast Polk High School. Following high school Ryan attended the University of Iowa, graduating in December 2001 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in finance. Following graduation from the University of Iowa, Ryan attended the Drake University Law School located in Des Moines. During law school Ryan worked at the Beattie Law Firm, P.C. assisting Attorney Donald Beattie in trial preparation. Ryan graduated from Drake and received his J.D. in May 2005.

Ryan was licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa on September 23, 2005. He is currently a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Iowa Association of Justice including its Workers' Compensation Section.

Ryan is married to Jane and has two young daughters. In his free time Ryan follows Hawkeye Sports and spends time with his family.
