Samantha Owens

Samantha earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as the Senior Notes & Comments Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review and won second place in the McNeil Law Society Writing Competition for her piece analyzing the impacts of social media on sovereignty and the rule of law. She received her Bachelor of Arts, with Distinction, in American Government with a minor in the Frank Batten School of Public Policy and Leadership from the University of Virginia. During her time in Charlottesville, Samantha was heavily involved with the Young Women Leaders Program at the University of Virginia Women’s Center, which pairs college women with middle school girls in the community for mentorship and support.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys playing intramural sports, hiking, cooking, and reading.
