Biography

Sam Jo focuses his practice on complex commercial and licensing agreements, as well as technology product and platform development, integration, launch, and counseling, with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies such as machine learning and AI, quantum computing, aerospace, custom Silicon applications, and Internet of Things (IoT).

Sam represents some of the world’s leading technology enterprises in machine learning/AI product development, licensing, and commercialization arrangements, including for robotics and automation industries, as well as cloud computing and infrastructure providers. He negotiates agreements covering model co-development collaborations, inbound and outbound model licensing, machine learning/AI-centric product integrations, and custom semiconductor procurement powering AI/ML compute at scale.

Sam has deep experience in managing the end-to-end supply chain for mission critical aircraft and satellite components and systems. His work has focused on timely sourcing, quality assurance, propulsion systems, structural assemblies, and other key subsystems.

In the quantum space, Sam has hands-on experience navigating the evolving quantum computing landscape, with a focus on cloud-based server architectures with some of the world’s leading cloud computing providers. His work spans evaluating emerging quantum hardware and hybrid architectures, supporting enterprise adoption strategies, and engaging in R&D collaborations with leading universities and third-party vendors.

Sam also handles IoT matters for device OEM/ODMs and cloud infrastructure providers, including platform migrations, integrations, and hybrid-cloud development engagements. He works on IoT infrastructure deployments through infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) implementation models, as well as software and app launches on retail devices.

Additionally, Sam represents providers and buyers of web-based and e-commerce computing products and services in software-as-a-service (SaaS), IaaS, and PaaS transactions. He assists Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries in enterprise and mission-critical hardware, service, and IT procurement transactions, with a particular emphasis on hardware, equipment, and semiconductor supply chain, both on the provider and customer sides.
