Biography

Sandra A. Kozlowski is an experienced litigator with more than twenty years of experience handling complex matters in federal and state courts. Her practice includes civil rights litigation, employment law, tort and premises liability claims, professional negligence, and contract disputes. Sandra has extensive trial experience and has served as lead counsel in over 75 jury and bench trials and hundreds of mediations and arbitrations involving high-exposure and multiparty matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Sandra served as a Deputy Attorney General with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, where she managed a significant docket of federal and state litigation on behalf of state agencies. Her work included defending and litigating matters involving employment discrimination, ADA and Title IX claims, wrongful termination, whistleblower actions, and 1983 civil rights claims, as well as construction and premises liability disputes.

Earlier in her career, Sandra maintained a private litigation practice representing corporate and individual clients in federal and state courts from investigation through trial and appeal. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Edward J. Borkowski in Allegheny County, where she drafted opinions and memoranda addressing complex legal and evidentiary issues.

In addition to her litigation practice, Sandra served for more than a decade as an Associate Professor at Point Park University’s School of Business, where she taught courses in business law, negotiation, and the legal environment of business.

Sandra is an elected member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and is active in the Allegheny County Bar Association, Federal Court Section, where she has held several leadership roles and regularly presents continuing legal education programs on federal litigation and trial practice.
