Sara Johnson is an expert criminal defense attorney with over two decades of legal experience in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Originally from the Midwest, she earned her B.A. in History from the University of Nebraska before moving to Philadelphia to attend Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.Sara began her legal career in the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, where she served from 2004 to 2012, rising to the position of Deputy District Attorney. She prosecuted a wide array of cases, including DUI, narcotics, aggravated assaults, child abuse, sexual assault, attempted murder, and homicide.After leaving the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, Sara was elected to the Upper Dublin School Board, serving for six years. That service led her into school and municipal law, where from 2017 to 2023 she represented large public school districts as Solicitor. In that role, she advised on policy development, employment, construction, and student discipline, and counseled boards through hundreds of public meetings—many of them highly contested.In 2023, Sara returned to the courtroom by joining the Chester County District Attorney’s Office as a Deputy District Attorney. She supervised multiple trial courtrooms, managed felony dockets, and was one of three deputies handling adult sexual assault cases countywide. She also served as the Office’s Grant Writer, securing critical funding for public safety initiatives.Now practicing exclusively in criminal defense, Sara uses her deep courtroom experience and knowledge of prosecutorial strategies to protect the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. She brings skill, pragmatism, and determination to every case, from minor offenses to the most serious felonies.Outside the courtroom, Sara enjoys life in Southern Chester County, which she and her family proudly call home. She spends much of her free time at her kids’ sporting events. A lifelong Nebraska football fan, Sara wears red on most Saturdays in the fall.
