Sara Steimer

For Sara Steimer, family law isn’t just a profession—it’s a calling. From the very start of her legal career, she has been dedicated to helping individuals navigate some of the most emotionally challenging moments of their lives with patience, empathy, and strength.

Sara earned her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 2020, passing the bar that same year. While in law school, she immersed herself in hands-on legal work, interning with nonprofits like the Juvenile Court Project, where she represented parents in dependency proceedings, and the Divorce Law Project, helping low-income individuals obtain free divorces. She also participated in Duquesne’s Family Law Clinic, working alongside the Allegheny County Family Division’s Pro Se department to provide free legal services to those in need.

After law school, Sara began her career under the mentorship of now Judge Nicola Henry-Taylor at Henry-Taylor Law P.C., where she gained valuable experience in custody, divorce, support, and protection from abuse cases. She later continued her work at Neighborhood Legal Services in Pittsburgh, advocating for clients facing domestic violence and custody disputes. It was here that she honed not only her litigation skills but also her deep sense of compassion for those going through family law crises.

Sara understands that for most people, family law matters are among the most difficult experiences they will ever face. That’s why she approaches every case with a unique blend of legal strategy and heartfelt understanding—guiding her clients through uncertainty with clarity, reassurance, and a relentless commitment to their well-being.

Outside the courtroom, Sara stays grounded by giving back to her community. She volunteers with an anti-litter group, working to keep local roads clean and beautiful—because she believes in making a difference, both in and out of the legal world.

Sara is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts. She is a proud graduate of Penn West Clarion and Duquesne University School of Law.
