Biography

Since her admission to the Georgia Bar in 2013, Sarah Martin has actively practiced law in federal and state courts. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various areas of civil litigation, including personal injury; disputes involving contracts, property, and business entities; and commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes. Sarah has also represented both property owners and local governments in a number of eminent domain actions.

Prior to joining Brinson, Askew & Berry, Sarah practiced law in Cartersville, where she specialized in general civil litigation. She also had the privilege of representing several local governments and serving as an assistant solicitor for the Probate Court of Bartow County, Georgia and the Municipal Court of Adairsville, Georgia, where she prosecuted traffic violations and other misdemeanor offenses.

Sarah is pleased to return to Rome, where she has lived for most of her life. Her husband, Luke, is an Assistant District Attorney for the Rome Judicial Circuit, as well as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve JAG Corps. Sarah and Luke have two children: Henry and Claire. Sarah is also a member of the Junior Service League of Rome.

In 2009, Sarah graduated with highest honors from Berry College, where she completed a double major in International Studies and Spanish. She attended the University of Alabama School of Law with a full-tuition academic scholarship and received her law degree with honors.
