Sarah Marie Turner: Attorney with East Memphis Law

Biography

Ms. Turner is a respectful and civil attorney, who understands the value of compromise and litigation and knows when to employ either tactic successfully. Ms. Turner believes in keeping her clients as informed as possible, and will ensure they understand their legal options and the real life consequences of each decision. Her job is to assist you in making the absolute best legal decisions for you and your children, not to make these most important life decisions for you. Ms. Turner's goal is to navigate the legal process in such a way that she finds real life, practical solutions to her client's domestic law issues, recognizing that long after the courts and Ms. Turner are out of her client's life, her client's family remains (including exes). Ms. Turner is an experienced and highly qualified litigator, but recognizes and understands the value of amicable resolutions. She firmly believes it is far better for the people actually going through the conflict to resolve their own disputes with the help of a mediator, if necessary, as opposed to litigating and having just a few hours to present your entire life story and all concerns to a judge that does not know the parties or their children and leaving the most crucial decisions regarding family and life to a complete stranger. As such, Ms. Turner is a trained Rule 31 Mediator and often assists couples in resolving their domestic disputes through mediation. However, Ms. Turner does recognize that not all cases can be resolved at mediation, and she is dedicated and highly skilled at advocating for her clients in the court room and helping to ensure them the best results possible. Ms. Turner is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts and a graduate of the University of Memphis School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor in 2010. She was admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 2010 and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in 2012.   Ms. Turner is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Memphis Bar Association. Ms. Turner is also a board member of Junior Achievement in Memphis, TennessMs. Turner is a respectful and civil attorney, who understands the value of compromise and litigation and knows when to employ either tactic successfully.
