Biography

Sarah P. Wenzel moved to Waynesville, NC in 2003, having lived in the Washington, DC area for several years and having grown up in Connecticut. She graduated cum laude from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. In 2003, Sarah received her law degree with honors from Washington College of Law at American University in Washington, D.C. In law school, Sarah was an editor for the AU International Law Review.

Sarah is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and is a member of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section and the Elder Law Section. In Haywood County, she has served on the Hospice Advisory Council, the scholarship committee of Altrusa of Waynesville, and with various other volunteer organizations. Sarah currently servers on the Board of the Fund for Haywood County, an affiliate of the Western North Carolina Community Foundation based in Asheville, NC, as the Grants Committee Chair.
