Sarah Hickman embarked on her legal journey long before her
formal legal education. Her involvement with law firms commenced during her
high school years, progressing through roles as an intern, legal assistant, paralegal,
and eventually an associate attorney, a position she has held since October
2014. Her early exposure to trials during her teenage years instilled in her
the value of meticulous preparation and attention to detail, qualities that
define her as a lawyer today.
In 2018, Sarah broadened her legal practice to encompass
Divorce and Family Law, alongside straightforward Estate Planning. Her
exceptional contributions to the field of Medical Malpractice earned her
recognition as a Rising Star in personal injury by the American Institute of
Legal Advocates. Sarah stands as a staunch and dedicated advocate for her
clients, with a deep-seated commitment to assisting those in need.
Presently, Sarah's legal practice predominantly revolves
around significant personal injury cases, particularly in the realm of medical
malpractice and general casualty litigation. She has successfully completed the
National Institute of Trial Advocacy's trial school, showcasing her competence
in this domain. In her relatively youthful yet illustrious career, Sarah has
taken on the role of counsel of record and actively participated in trial and
appellate court proceedings for several complex cases. The other facet of her
practice is dedicated to aiding individuals in planning for their futures,
involving the drafting of Medical Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Last Wills
and Testaments, and Family Trusts. In conjunction with her Family Law practice,
Sarah adeptly manages divorce cases, asset division, and child custody matters.
On a more personal note, hailing from Mandeville, Louisiana,
Sarah Hickman exhibited excellence as an athlete during her formative years,
particularly in women's soccer. Her remarkable achievements culminated in her
selection as a NCAAA Gatorade high school All American in 2004, having
captained her team at Mandeville High School. Her competitive spirit, honed
through years of sports, has seamlessly translated into her professional
career. Sarah takes a keen interest in history, politics, and travel, with a noteworthy
period of her undergraduate studies spent in Paris. She is happily married to
her husband, Chris, a distinguished CPA, and they are the proud parents of two
wonderful boys. The importance of family resonates deeply with her, reflecting
her firm belief that her business is founded on family values.
