Biography

Scott Blumenshine is a strong advocate for his clients and has worked for many years to improve laws that protect everyday people. His goal is simple: speak up for people who need help and fight for fair treatment.

For more than 38 years, Scott has shared his knowledge through legal articles and training programs for other lawyers. He also helped write changes to the Illinois Insurance Code. These changes increased penalties when insurance companies act in bad faith and raised the limit on arbitration awards in uninsured and underinsured driver claims.

Scott has also spoken to the media about important legal and safety issues. CBS Channel 2 interviewed him about a truck crash that caused severe injuries and the need for better side guards on trucks. He has appeared in Spanish-language media about a well-known assault case. He has also discussed changes to Illinois insurance law and a life insurance dispute involving a death in Aruba.
