Biography

With over 20 years of litigation experience, both as a practicing attorney and working for various state courts for over 10 years, Scott is known for his ability to quickly dial into a case’s most important issues. His depth of experience and understanding of the litigation process helps him guide clients toward successful outcomes. Scott has represented governmental entities, elected officials, and governmental employees in all types of cases in state and federal court including complex civil rights cases and class actions. Most recently, he acted as a magistrate for the Ohio Court of Claims, where he presided over bench trials and mediated civil cases involving tort claims against state entities as well as public records claims against governmental entities from across Ohio.

Possessing a distinctive ability to understand what’s at stake and anticipate what’s to come, Scott offers a valuable combination of legal acumen, experience, and commonsense. With his experience working with litigants as both an advocate and a judicial officer, he has a unique perspective on the litigation process and his clients’ needs and obligations as he guides them through the legal maze. Recognizing there are real people behind cases who deserve his respect and attention, Scott uses his experience and sense of legal empathy to help them understand the process and work collaboratively toward the best possible outcome. He takes each case very seriously, and tirelessly works to meet the needs of his clients.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Scott enjoys spending time with his family when he is away from work.
