Biography

Scott St. Amand joined Fisher, Tousey, Leas & Ball in 2016. He concentrates his practice in all areas of federal and state tax controversy and tax-related litigation, as well as trust and estate litigation and administration.

Scott graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, with a B.A. in English and Latin. Next, he received his J.D. with honors, from the University of Richmond. Finally, after practicing in Jacksonville for four years, Scott graduated with honors from the University of Florida with his Master of Laws in Taxation. Scott is a prolific legal writer, having been published in the Florida Bar Journal, the American Bankruptcy Journal, and a number of other state and national legal publications. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Tax Court.

Scott grew up in Jacksonville, and he lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with his wife Anna and their two children. When not practicing or writing for legal publications and for his own website, Briefly Taxing, Scott is an avid gardener and photographer.
